The project for the new Casale Nei Civic Center and Urban Park aims to create a multifunctional, sustainable, and accessible public architectural complex, destined to become a social and cultural hub for the newly developed neighborhood.
The concave building embraces the park garden and features a load-bearing structure in glulam and a CLT roof, allowing for large spans and flexible interior spaces. The park is divided into sports, play, and relaxation areas, connected by permeable pathways and immersed in greenery, with a landscape design focused on biodiversity and low maintenance.
The colorful ceramic façade, in shades of green and ochre, creates a visual dialogue between the building and nature. The interior spaces include a lobby, a refreshment area, classrooms, accessible restrooms, and a multipurpose hall for 80–100 people.
The project adopts sustainable construction solutions: X-LAM structure, mineral wool insulation, enamelled terracotta cladding, permeable flooring, photovoltaic panels, rainwater collection and natural materials, guaranteeing energy efficiency, comfort and reduced environmental impact.
